The Guild is an award winning comedy web-series that follows the misadventures of a group of gamers. Webispodes varying from 3 to 8 minutes in length, following Guild members’ lives on and off line.

The show started in the late summer of 2007, and for the first season was financed solely by Paypal donations from LOYAL FANS. Since season 2, The Guild has been distributed by Xbox Live and Microsoft and sponsored by Sprint. It has won numerous awards, including the SXSW, YouTube and Yahoo Web Series Awards in 2008, and 3 Streamy Awards in 2009: Best Comedy Web Series, Best Ensemble, and Best Actress for series creator and lead actress, Felicia Day. The show is a natural hit with the gaming and software development community. Day herself was a hardcore gamer who was stretching her skills beyond gaming into media; her real life gaming experience was the natural thing to spin a sitcom off of.
