The threat of the melting Greenland ices heet
Glacier’s hold the largest portion of freshwater on the planet and they are all vulnerable to melting due to global warming. Indeed, there is much evidence of dramatic dieback of glaciers already.

Glaciers are a significant tipping point and are the source of multiple risks and in turn give rise to other tipping points including:

  1. sea level rise
  2. increased volcanic and seismic activity
